Nice photos and a good idea. What other sorts of htibaats help to attract Diptera? My wife and I put in a small pond with a narrow cascading stream, allowing for adult chironomids to swarm over the water, for dixids to use the edges and at least three species of chironomids and two species of little non-biting no-see-ums living in the water. It always has me looking for what other species are using our pond and stream.
